Essential #3 - Fun

It would be remiss of me to leave this off as it is the most obvious point. Every party needs to have some form of entertainment to contain the kids – games, activities, crafts, a party at a kids entertainment venue, not to mentions the vast array professional entertainment options. There are so many available to parents nowadays that it can become quite overwhelming. There are several key elements that come into play when planning the ‘Fun’ part of the party. Take these into consideration: • Age of the children • How many kids invited • Budget • Season • A DIY party versus a DIWS party (Do It With Someone – outsource aspects of your party such as catering and entertainment which are the main ones usually) or a DIWY party (Do It Without You – this is where you hand the reins over to a party planner or event manager and give them a budget), not as common but becoming more popular.
