Michelle, know at her parties as Mrs Balloonatic, and her husband Peter (Mr Balloonatic) are the founders of one of Melbourne’s much loved kids party and entertainment business, Balloonaversal Entertainments. Having entertained kids with balloon twisting, face painting and pony rides since 1999, Michelle and Peter have had the privilege of being responsible for over 10,000 kids parties and events, if anyone knows what makes an kid’s party AMAZING, it will be Michelle.
A Firm Belief
Michelle and Peter are firm believers in the family, it’s their philosophy that children’s birthday party celebrations present a perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together unity, sharing in the fun and festivities.
In a time when so many of us parents are struggling for meaningful time with our kids and loved ones, Michelle believes that there has never been a more important time than now to ensure we create those strong family ties ... and those treasured family memories. And this is why she has written her book The Kids Party Survival Guide For Busy Parents.
The Entrepreneurial Spirit
During the Covid lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 and not being able to operate their party and entertainment business optimally, Michelle and Peter, determined not to be disheartened, turned to their entrepreneurial spirit and created two new start ups.
The first one, Party Business Mastery is an online training program for new entertainers entering into the kids party and entertainment space and the second one, Adopt A Pony offering a part time lease arrangement of their very child friendly party ponies. For families wanting to explore the notion of pony ownership but not ready to fork out huge bucks and a 7 day a week commitment, it’s an excellent opportunity to test the kid’s ‘horse mad’ temperature. So popular was it that extra ponies were bought.
Home on the Farm
Michelle and Peter live in the North of Melbourne with their two teenage sons, 21 ponies, 5 cats, 2 dogs and 18 chickens, which takes up a lot of time and keeps everyone on their toes ... outdoors, keeping fit and healthy.
When Michelle is not having a ball entertaining at parties and events as Mrs Balloonatic, or consulting to other budding entrepreneurs, or training ponies and young riders, she can be found spending time with her family on their 40 acre farm.
Time For A Book
And as if she isn't busy already, Michelle made some extra time to complete a LONG overdue project and that was to complete and publish her first book The Kids Party Survival Guide For Busy Parents - How to Create Cherished Family Memories Through Unforgettable Kids Parties.
Drawing on her vast experience of 20 years, this book is sure to make a huge impact to all the mums and dads out there wanting to make their kids party one that will always trigger fond childhood memories - what more can we ask as parents?
